​We offer six programmes relating to mental health:

  • Mental Health First Aider workshops -  leading to a certificate in Mental Health First Aid (Accredited programme).

  • Mental Health Awareness workshops help your staff to understand what mental health is all about and bust the myths and stigma that surrounds it so your workplace is more inclusive and supportive.

  • Managing Mental Health – aimed at managers, this workshop will look at how a manager can proactively and positively support a member of their team with mental health problems.

  • Stress Management - This 3 hour workshop will look at what stress is and how it impacts on us and provides a range of strategies for managing ourselves in stressful times.


  • Outdoor Life Coaching – individual coaching with one of Wales’ first qualified Outdoor Life Coaches, using the natural environment to help you to shape your own life based on their deepest desires and talents. The primary goal of Life Coaching is deepening life’s happiness and success.


  • Forest Bathing – Following the Japanese model for positive mental health we offer guided sessions working in and with nature inviting us to slow down and reconnect with nature which we are part of. Emerging research demonstrates forest bathing is helpful for people struggling with depression and anxiety.

Mental Health First Aid (2 days)

Mental Health First Aid helps participants to recognise and understand some of the most common signs and behaviours of mental health difficulties.

This training:

  • Raises awareness of a range of mental health difficulties and the issues that can impact on a person's mental health

  • Encourage people to start a conversation with a person who may be experiencing a mental health issue

  • Promotes early intervention which helps them to receive support as early as possible

  • Provides guidance to support a person experiencing a crisis with their mental health


Each participant will receive a copy of the MHFA manual and workbook which are excellent resources. Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate to confirm that they are a trained Mental Health First Aider.

Mental Health Awareness

Would you like to better understand your mental health?


Do you know someone who is struggling with their mental health and you want to learn how to help?


Mental Health Awareness gives an overview of how to promote positive mental health and wellbeing. It also boosts knowledge and confidence in identifying and supporting those experiencing a common mental health problem (depression and/or anxiety).


  • Provides tools and guidance on how to maintain positive wellbeing

  • Learn how to spot signs of poor mental health and how to manage it

  • Gain confidence in promoting mental health awareness and removing stigma

  • Deepen understanding of common mental health problems

Mental Health for Managers – how to effectively support staff with mental health issues (5 hours)

This workshop will introduce a range mental health problem and how to effectively support your employee to manage their health, remain productive at work and minimise the amount of absence they have.

During the workshop will cover

  • The business case for mental health at work

  • The mental health continuum

  • Stigma and Discrimination

  • Having an effective conversation about mental health

  • Mental Health Conditions – Overview of the conditions and myth busting

  • Help reduce absenteeism/presenteeism/staff turnover by supporting good mental health

Forest Bathing (1.5 - 2 hour sessions)

Forest Bathing stems from the idea that we humans have a longing to be surrounded by trees and nature, which is why we immediately feel an overwhelming sense of calm when in a forest or woodland.  Forest bathing invites us to slow down and reconnect with nature which we are part of. The practice has been part of the public health program in Japan since 1982, when the government began to promote it as therapy. There is a lot of emerging research that is demonstrating forest bathing is helpful for people struggling with depression and anxiety.


There are no set rules how we go about forest-bathing, but it typically involves an hour or two in a forest, slowly walking or sitting or both. The pace should be slow and the aim is to be present in the here and now.

Outdoor Life Coaching (1.5 - 2 hour sessions)

A life coach helps people to shape their own lives based on their deepest desires and talents. The primary goal of Life Coaching is deepening life’s happiness and success.


The essence of outdoor coaching is in the environment. Everything in the environment can be used as metaphors that symbolically illustrate, broaden and deepen the topics of the coaching process. For example, you can use a tree as a metaphor for someone’s personality or paths can be seen as metaphors for someone’s life journey. Outdoor life coaching can be done in any climate and under all weather conditions as these can also be used to symbolise our mental and emotional processes. The environment provides inspiration and clarity.


The motion of walking gets the body moving which causes the thoughts, feelings and energy to move. By walking and talking at the same time, the head and body are connected with one another. A process of bilateral stimulation takes place which means that both the left and right hemispheres of the body are stimulated. This connection of the two hemispheres creates new insights and helps to balance the emotional life. A nice side effect of walking is the release of dopamine and endorphins that make you feel relaxed and comfortable.
